Refreshing Lavender Coconut Lemonade Recipe

Refreshing Lavender Coconut Lemonade Recipe

This Refreshing Lavender Coconut Lemonade is a delightful blend of floral lavender, tropical coconut water, and zesty fresh lemon juice creating a hydrating and indulgent beverage perfect for warm days or entertaining guests.

Ingredients

Scale

Lavender Infusion

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender

Lemonade Base

  • 4 to 6 fresh lemons (to yield about 1 cup lemon juice)
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • Honey or agave syrup, to taste
  • Ice cubes, as needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lavender Infusion: Heat about two cups of water until just about to boil, remove from heat, and stir in two tablespoons of dried culinary lavender. Let it steep for 10 minutes to release the floral aroma, then strain out the lavender buds, keeping only the infused liquid.
  2. Squeeze the Lemons: While the lavender steeps, juice four to six fresh lemons to yield approximately one cup of lemon juice. Strain the juice to remove seeds and pulp for a smooth lemonade base.
  3. Mix the Ingredients: In a large pitcher, combine the lavender-infused water, lemon juice, and one cup of coconut water. Gradually stir in honey or agave syrup, tasting as you go to reach your preferred sweetness.
  4. Chill and Serve: Add ice cubes to the pitcher or serve over ice-filled glasses. Stir well before pouring into glasses and garnish with lemon slices, fresh lavender sprigs, or edible flowers. Store leftovers refrigerated.

Notes

  • Use culinary-grade lavender to avoid bitterness or unpleasant flavors.
  • Add sweetener gradually to balance tartness without overpowering floral notes.
  • Freshly squeezed lemon juice is best for a bright, clean flavor.
  • Chill coconut water and lemon juice before mixing for a cooler drink.
  • Steep lavender for about 10 minutes to avoid bitterness.
