Tea Base
- 4 cups black or green tea, brewed and cooled
Fruit Puree
- 2 fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and blended
- 1 ripe mango, peeled, pitted, and blended
Sweeteners and Flavor
- 2 to 3 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
To Serve
- Ice cubes
- Optional garnishes: fresh peach or mango slices, mint sprigs, edible flowers
- Cold water (optional, to dilute if needed)
- Brew the Tea: Steep your choice of black or green tea in 4 cups of hot water for 5 to 7 minutes to develop a strong but smooth base. Remove the tea bags or leaves and let the tea cool to room temperature.
- Prepare the Fruit Puree: Peel, pit, and blend the fresh peaches and mangoes until smooth. For a silkier texture, strain the puree; or leave slightly pulpy for added body.
- Mix Tea and Fruit: In a pitcher, combine the cooled tea with the peach mango puree. Stir in 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice and 2 to 3 tablespoons of honey or agave syrup to taste, blending everything harmoniously. Adjust sweetness as needed.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to let the flavors marry. Serve over plenty of ice cubes for an icy, refreshing drink. Add optional garnishes such as fruit slices or mint for a decorative touch.
Notes
- Use Fresh Fruit: Fresh peaches and mangoes enhance flavor and aroma significantly.
- Don’t Skip Lemon Juice: It brightens the drink and balances sweetness.
- Sweeten Gradually: Add honey or sweetener bit by bit to avoid over-sweetening.
- Pre-Chill Your Pitcher: Keep the drink cooler longer by chilling your pitcher before use.
- Try Cold Brew Tea: For smoother flavor, cold brew tea overnight instead of hot steeping.
