Oreo Bars

No-bake Oreo Bars combine the classic crunch of Oreo cookies with creamy cream cheese and a luscious chocolate topping. Easy to prepare without an oven, these bars offer a perfect balance of textures and flavors, making them a quick, delicious treat for parties, snacks, or any sweet craving.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 24 Oreo cookies, crushed into fine crumbs
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Creamy Filling

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Chocolate Topping

  • 1 cup chocolate chips or melting chocolate

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oreo crust: Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Melt the butter and mix it thoroughly with the cookie crumbs. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a lined pan to form a solid, even base.
  2. Make the creamy filling: Beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy, creating a creamy layer that contrasts with the crunchy crust.
  3. Assemble and chill: Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the Oreo crust. Melt the chocolate chips and pour the melted chocolate on top, smoothing out the surface. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until fully set.
  4. Cut and serve: Remove the bars from the pan using the parchment paper and cut into squares or rectangles. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Use room temperature cream cheese for smooth mixing.
  • Firmly press the crust to avoid crumbling when cutting.
  • Chill adequately for clean cuts and proper texture.
  • Choose good-quality chocolate chips for better flavor.
  • Line your pan with parchment paper for easy removal and slicing.
