Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 lean)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Dough

  • 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough (about 8 biscuits)

Topping

  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Additional grated Parmesan cheese, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned and crumbly. Drain any excess fat, then stir in minced garlic, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before mixing in shredded cheddar and Parmesan cheeses.
  2. Assemble the bombs: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Separate the biscuit dough into individual rounds. Flatten each round into a small circle, large enough to wrap the filling completely. Place a spoonful of the beef and cheese mixture into the center of each dough round.
  3. Seal the bombs: Carefully pinch and fold the edges of the dough over the filling, sealing it tightly to prevent cheese leaks during baking. Place each sealed bomb seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Add the garlic Parmesan topping: Melt the butter and combine with minced garlic and chopped fresh parsley. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the sealed bombs, then sprinkle additional grated Parmesan cheese to create a flavorful, golden crust.
  5. Bake to perfection: Bake the bombs in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and fully cooked. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving to prevent burns from hot cheese.

Notes

  • Use room temperature dough to make shaping easier and prevent cracking.
  • Don’t overfill the bombs to ensure they seal properly and bake evenly.
  • Brushing with garlic butter topping gives a crispy, flavorful crust.
  • Let bombs rest briefly after baking before cutting to retain all the melted cheese inside.
  • Use fresh Parmesan and sharp cheddar for optimal flavor impact.
