Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 cup fresh berries (blueberries, strawberries, or raspberries)
  • ¼ cup chopped nuts (almonds, pistachios) or seeds (chia seeds, pumpkin seeds)
  • 2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Ingredients: Gather all ingredients. Wash and dry fresh fruits thoroughly. Roughly chop nuts for even texture and distribution.
  2. Mix Yogurt and Sweetener: In a medium bowl, stir Greek yogurt with honey or maple syrup until smooth and well combined. Add vanilla extract if using for added flavor depth.
  3. Spread Yogurt on a Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet or tray with parchment paper. Spread the yogurt mixture evenly over the paper to about a quarter-inch thickness to ensure uniform freezing.
  4. Add Fruit, Nuts, and Toppings: Sprinkle your chosen fresh fruits, chopped nuts or seeds, and optional chocolate chips evenly over the yogurt layer. Press them gently into the yogurt so they adhere well when frozen.
  5. Freeze and Break Into Pieces: Place the tray in the freezer for at least 2 hours or until firm. Once frozen, lift the bark out using the parchment paper and break it into bite-sized pieces. Serve immediately or store frozen.

Notes

  • Use full-fat Greek yogurt for creamier texture and richer flavor.
  • Pat dry fresh fruits to avoid icy spots and keep bark crisp.
  • Spread yogurt evenly for consistent thickness to freeze uniformly.
  • Gently press toppings into yogurt to ensure they stay attached after freezing.
  • Freeze overnight for best texture and sturdiness.
  • If parchment paper is unavailable, use a silicone baking mat or lightly grease the tray.
